LEARN / GROW / BUILD
More than a visit.
A connection to possibility.
Practical experiences rooted in mountain agriculture, community knowledge and entrepreneurship.
Find your way into the work.
There is more than one way to participate in an agricultural economy. Some people begin with a farm visit. Others bring land, a business question, a classroom or a research idea. T&T connects those interests to the working landscape and the people building around it.
Immersive farm visits
Discuss a personalized visit to the DRT environment. Possible topics include high tunnels, nursery work, bees, poultry, goats, fruit, berries and forest farming. The route and activities depend on the season, the group and what is happening on the farm.
Agricultural advising
Bring a question about using land for agriculture or developing an enterprise. Our existing advising pathway begins with learning about the property, the person and the goal—not prescribing the same solution for every landscape.
Adventures on the Farm
Our youth-learning vision reconnects children and families with nature, food and the agricultural identity of the mountains. A farm can become a place to ask questions, notice living systems and discover work that is both useful and meaningful.
We welcome conversations with parents, schools and youth organizations about shaping these experiences. Potential activities and parent participation are planned around age, supervision, accessibility, weather and farm conditions. This is an invitation to discuss a program—not an announcement of open camp enrollment or scheduled overnight stays.
A pathway toward skills and enterprise
Jason Tartt’s work with EDGE’s AgForce participants connects mentoring with agriculture and entrepreneurship. T&T’s broader goal is to help learners see pathways from practical skills into production, services and business ownership.
T&T Organics is a for-profit enterprise; EDGE is a separate nonprofit. Participation, staffing, funding and responsibilities are arranged for each project. No job placement, certification or program admission is guaranteed by an inquiry.
For educators and researchers
Help connect classroom learning to questions that matter locally. The DRT model offers a starting point for discussing practical research, student learning and community-defined projects.
Include your group size, age range where relevant, preferred timing and learning goals. Please wait for direct confirmation before traveling or making arrangements.
